Is Earlobe Repair Right for You?
You may be a candidate if you have:
- Torn or split earlobes
- Stretched or enlarged piercing holes
- Damage from heavy earrings
- Gauge openings you wish to close
- Earlobe deformities caused by injury or trauma
The Procedure
Earlobe repair is performed in the office using local anesthesia for your comfort. Dr. Joseph Arzadon carefully reshapes and repairs the earlobe by removing damaged tissue and precisely suturing the area to create a smooth, natural contour. The procedure typically takes less than one hour.
Recovery
Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Sutures are typically removed within 7–10 days, and discomfort is minimal. Once healing is complete, the earlobe can often be re-pierced if desired.
